We purchased a house from the 1950s and the windows that were in the house seemed like they were installed when the house was built (in the photos, you can see an old window covered with bars - that was an original window and was left alone as it is covered on the inside). We went with Ambia Windows to get brand new windows for our house to modernize the look, as well as ensure that our home is energy efficient. Jimmy was communicative and informative, and gave us great recommendations about configurations and different ways that the windows could open so that we could achieve large, unobstructed windows. We also converted a window into a patio door, which we also got through Ambia Windows and we are very pleased with the result. Tony and his team of installers did a fantastic job. I got a bunch of triple pane windows and 2 patio doors all of which apply for the energy saving rebate from the government. The windows and workmanship are top notch.

The consultation was very informative, Tony explained the multiple options and was very pleased to learn that he was able to give me a 3 3/8" window jamb when I previously only had 1 inch. This allowed us to install our shades inside rather than above or on the trim. There are some many options for windows, and I felt we went of the pros and cons of each selection, and I was confident in the product/selection I received.

The team of installers took 1.5 days, and the workmanship was excellent and professional. I asked if they could redo our front door trim from a poorly assembled white to black and the difference was amazing. Do yourself a favour and call these people, you won't regret it.

We decided our 15-year-old build-grade (cheap quality) windows were due for a change. We reached out to 3 different companies for quotes. Jason from Ambia gave us our 3rd and best quote. He was a pleasure to deal with - patient, knowledgeable, and did not pressure us into extras. Ambia sells 'Stage' brand windows, which is a brand I've come to know through previous quotes and the windows I wanted to get. We chose to go with triple-glaze, black exterior windows. We have shutters and there was extra cost associated with ensuring the new window frames would fit them back after installation.

The install crew that Ambia sent was efficient and finished the work in 2 days. They've done a good job at keeping the mess to a minimum. They cleaned up all debris inside and out. However, be prepared to vacuum and dust surfaces after the work is complete. It's inevitable.

I immediately felt the difference with these windows compared to the old ones. Standing behind one in direct sunlight did not feel nearly as hot as with the old, which proves to me that they are indeed a lot more insulating. Will update my review after a winter season.

I recommend Ambia as they've provided us with great and friendly service, a competitive price, and my initial impressions of the windows are very positive so far.
